The Celtic boss declared he had no concerns about losing his job, claiming, “The team is extremely close to a turnaround,” even after sliding worryingly close to being fired with a comprehensive defeat by Rangers.

A Second-Half Capitulation Leads to Old Firm Defeat

“The level we had at times was really, really, really high. That happened. And I would not talk like that if it was untrue. Therefore, in terms of results, I said we've seen this before. Which is why I said that we are really close to things turning around. But for the moment: details, details, details.”

“We produced many, many good things that we did, once more. However comes down to performing for 90 minutes. My outlook would be different if it was not the case. That’s why I am a big believer we’re going to be able to get back on track.”

Opposition Reaction Response

Rangers manager refused to contemplate a title charge even after what appeared to be a statement victory. “One match at a time, so we can develop something here,” he said. “The faith in the team is excellent.”
